DeGroote’s Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) offers consultations to help instructors identify learning needs, design innovative solutions, and implement processes that enhance class management and learning experiences.
Whether new or returning, sessional or teaching-track, tenure-track, tenured, or holding a Contractually Limited Appointment, all instructors are part of a vibrant and dedicated community where learning is a shared priority.
A wide range of resources is available at both DeGroote and McMaster University to support instructors through the design, development, and delivery of educational experiences and research that make a meaningful impact on communities.

New instructor handbook
The DeGroote Guidebook for New Instructors is one of several resources that the Teaching and Learning Services team has made available to new faculty members to help create engaging learning experiences we wish for our students.
We discuss several resources and practices in this handbook, which is intended to be a quick reference for many aspects of teaching at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. We hope you find this guide a useful starting place as you participate in our campus teaching and learning communities.
